Mid-Day Update: The video below was taken at around 9:30 AM CST. It shows pretty clearly how the water is still breached into the flood plain…even though the river crested yesterday.

Friday Morning Update–Levy Breach Has Swollen The Whole Flood/Farm Plain. Unfortunately, the crest is still near the 1993 record–even with this major breach. Additionally, you can see by the map below that we have substantial rains crossing-over on the most updated maps.
Afternoon Video Update–Breached Levy Up-River Is Starting To Create Back-Fill & Flood More Farmland. It’s a beautiful day here, and had it not been for this flooding, our local farmers would probably be spreading fertilizer & doing tillage work like clients I work with in Kentucky & Indiana. Interestingly, as I have been doing more research on both the 1993 & 2011 floods, both actually, technically lasted from April-May all the way to September-October of those years. In other words, once this Missouri River Watershed gets wet, it stays wet…especially if (obviously) spring rains are normal to above-normal. I don’t know what got into me at the end, but if you listen closely, the last words I say are “historic DROUGHT“! What am I thinking right now? …I am really taken-a-back by this flooding and it’s difficult for me to remain low-key. Don’t forget to read the disclaimer at the bottom of this page.

Mid-day Update Video with Fresh Forecasts On River Level & 7-Day Precipitation…Not A Good Update If You’re Living Through This…
